Quack quack quack
Another great family day! We went out to Andres parents for a bit but all 3 got a bit antsy so we left and grabbed some lunch.
We had thought about going to willowbank but while we were getting lunch kanye had a bleeding nose and it was a bad one. He used to get them quite bad and his nose would just pour until he didn't feel well and would go pale. He had surgery to fix it about 2 years ago and he's been fine since. Not sure what caused it today but he was distraught from all the blood so we headed home and cleaned him up.
We decided not to skip the rest of the day so we went to willowbank. It was Harpers first time seeing farm animals and he loved them, he held out his arms and attempted to grab any animal he could. The sheep, the cow and the Ducks were the best. Lots of happy giggles! Kanye and mar loved it too. The miniature horse kept licking kanye and he thought that was hilarious.
Mar loves going there as they have a lot of native birds, his favourites are the kakariki, the takahe and the keas. And he was great while there he would open and hold the gate for us and other people, beautiful boy.
I was interested to see that there was a rook there and they had taught it to say hello. There's also a cockatoo that says all kinds of things like ' yip yip yip want a biscuit' the boys love that bird.
I didn't get a shot but andre did of Marley this morning dressed as a robot, I made him another suit from a box but added tin foil for that real robot effect. He lived those short circuit movies and was walking around saying 'no disassemble, need input' he would pick up a book and flick through it fast pretending to read it like the robot did.
Am really happy we had this great weekend with lots of exploration, adventure, make believe and family time, Andres working next weekend and back on his 10am-630pm shift this week which means less family time and less daddy time for the boys. Oh well i will continue on, chicken roast is almost done and mar wants me to help him sort toys.
