Spent the morning browsing round the old town at Citudella. Reminded me a bit of Italy.

Totally by chance our good friends Adam and Laura and their two children are also in Menorca this week so we headed over to Cala Galdana where they are staying. The beach at Cala Galdana is amazing. One of the nicest beaches have ever been to - still it helps that its low season. Can imagine it wouldn't be so nice in high season. Eva and Toby were straight in for a paddle in the sea and Eva spent a lot of time grabbing handfuls of sand off the beach, running to the waters edge to throw them in and then running off as the tide came in. Over and over again!

We had dinner at a bar with a play park attached which pleased the little ones. Tobes and Luca were sharing a room and were so excited to be together that they were awake until gone 10pm but we had a nice evening catching up.

The villa Adam and Laura have rented is gorgeous and quite randomly has a very powerful telescope included. We saw saturn clearly enough to see the ring around it and also all the craters and oceans on the moon. Space freaks me out a bit. Just the enormity of it and the fact it takes so long for the light of the stars to reach earth that they're probably not there any more and that no-one really knows what is out there! Drank a lot of red wine.
