Back to school

Today was my first full day back at work - after nearly a year. Felt surprisingly good to be back in the classroom: I met the children I'll be teaching after half term; did some small group teaching and got to grips with timetables and class lists. A lovely day, totally exhausted by the end though, and very glad to kick off my shoes!

Little Miss was with her Nan for the day, and had a super time. It was very strange though - being at school today I felt as if I had never been away and the whole of my pregnancy and maternity year had just been a weird dream...
