Festival

A nearby village is having a festival for the next two weeks. The first day started with a huge parade through the Main Street. The theme of the festival is science and over the next few weeks there's going to be lots of science-themed events happening. There are also a number of scarecrows dotted around. This one is depicting monoclonal antibodies.

The large marquee is also going to be holding nightly shows with some really varied acts. I'm so impressed with volunteers who have organised so much, its going to be a great fortnight!

And look at the weather! It was so hot that after we'd watched the parade we had to sit in the shaded part of the garden to cool down!!
