March of the aphids

I took lots of pics in the garden today - nice flowers, ladybirds, birds etc - but I blipped this because it has taught me something. I never knew blackfly had wings! I guess there is a clue in their name but I had never thought about it. From what I can gather on t'internet these are the females.

Mr CG has gone off on a business trip tonight to Abu Dhabi. I am so jealous!!!!! He's only gone for 2/3 days and both boys have exams next week so it wasn't feasible for me to tag along. Maybe there will be another chance later in the year.

In other news, we had a car boot stall today. It seems I clear out our garage twice a year but it soon fills up again with 'stuff' that we don't need. As usual I have made my 3 piles of tip, charity shop and freecycle with what is left over. I do like a good clearout
