Waiting Faithfully by the Door

We went to the Old Post Office in Chapel of Garioch for lunch today, and found it so full we took a table outside in the garden. It was a cloudy day and it was wee bit chilly out there, but it was nice to be able to eat al fresco at all.

What you see here is the door connecting the cafe to the garden, with its unique granite doorstop. Two rubber door stops have been fixed to a block of granite, giving the appearance of a faithful dog waiting by the door.
