Giant ...

I found an amazing big bumblebee in the garden this morning. The bumblebee was sitting on a flower of the Redstem filaree (pinweed)

Compared to this specimen, all other bees hovering seemed barely bigger than mosquitoes.

As I approached with my camera, two of the legs went up as a threat. That's what you see in the picture here.
