Maassluis 400

Today the hometown of Dutch Ocean Towage, Maassluis celebrated his/her 400th birthday. Of course this was celebrated with a parade of tugs. We were (as the strongest Dutch tug) invited to participate and were very happy to be present. The parade started with old steam tugs, some of them 100 years old and ended with our tug the Kolga of only 5 months old. It was a beautiful day. Here you see a ultra modern harbour tug passing a classic Dutch tug (Elbe). Built some fifty plus years ago, she is restored completely to keep the Dutch tug history alive.
