Not impressed!

We were last in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis many years ago and we were not impressed – it was raining and we realised that everything closes on a Sunday.

We arrived in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis this afternoon and we are not impressed – it’s raining and we find that everything closes on a Sunday.

Oh well! We always travel hopefully and here we are in this blip ready to travel hopefully. This is the ferry from North Uist to Harris/ Berneray to Leverburgh. A medium sized CalMac ferry to do the hour’s journey across. We then drove up through Harris and Lewis . . . and that’s when the rain started!

We are here in Stornoway for a couple of nights before getting a much bigger ferry to make the trip across to Ullapool. And anyone who knows these Isles will know exactly where I’m heading tomorrow – rain or no rain!
