I love the old fashioned way that everything in this shop is put outside like Arkwright's "Open All Hours". You can buy anything at Deamers! I have a funny story about when we bought our barbecue from there. I was bending over to look closely at the Outback Gas Barbecue when I felt someone grab my bum. At first, I thought it was my wife, but she was too far away. It was a young girl of about 25. I didn't know her, nor did she turn round or acknowledge what she had done. She was just walking by with a girl and a guy of similar age. She just carried on walking. I was absolutely astonished. Nothing like that has happened to me for years. I didn't tell my wife as she would have thought I was making it up. It was a mystery. I can tell you that I have been back there bending over and checking out Deamer's barbecues every day since, but it has never happened again...
