Budding

Survived the first full week.

I'm reading "De Legende van Tijl Uilenspiegel en Lamme Goedzak". I'm not progressing very fast seeing that I only understand the basics, for which I am grateful when it gets to the gory bits such as Katelijne'a torture and burning at the stake.

One thing I realised is that there are no good royals. All of them, even the good ones, consume without producing, they wage wars and built castles with money taken from the people, not money earned by their labour. Even if they pay for what they consume it's with money taken from the people, not earned.
