Swarming risk?

Not too sure what these boxes are. They are on the property of a large bee house which I have Bliped before.

MrB will no doubt inform me in due course.

As the beekeeper has some 32 hives and the weather hasn't been too good perhaps they are a method of catching potential swarms that may occur in his bee house colonies.

The beekeeper is from Ottobeuren and thought he would have to give up as the area his hives are on was due to be integrated in a potential flooding overflow area. Last week the plans were abandoned so I guess he may now be expanding!

He is our closest bee neighbour but I think his bees have enough to be getting on with, without stealing from us.
