A bit of winter green...

We took the puppy and the kids on an extended walk today, only to the shops close to the school, but still a canny hike - especially with the crusty snow/ice around.

I was totally surprised how peaceful it was considering it was a Saturday. Things will be back to normal soon, although I will really miss the quiet I have encountered recently.
