New tenants

Today I noticed that the house martins have started to build this years des res in the apex. Every year we have a pair that do this and every year without fail, it drops to the ground. I'm not sure why this happens, although I have wondered if it's too dry, as it's in full sun most of the day. Wish I spoke bird language so that I could warn them.

My youngest Daughter has gone away for the weekend and I've been asked to look after her two dogs. They've never met my two before but rather than keep driving 12 miles to let them out for the loo, I thought I'd risk bringing them here. Apart from one 'incident' when they first arrived, they have been fine. Walking all four this evening was fun. I'm sure my arms have grown an inch.

Feeling so much better today. I got lots of sanding and painting done. It's good to finally have the strength to do things.
