How?

The boats on the other side of this wall are in the water. How is that possible? How can the water level be higher over there than it is on this side? My brain hurts just thinking about it.

Evening trip to Musselburgh. A stroll along the beach with the kids chucking a rugby ball around, followed by fishnchips (yes, it really is one word) on the beach. It's never been quite the same since the chippies all stopped using old newspapers to wrap them, but it was a nice end to the day.
