Is this my best side?
I have had a splendid day!
In August 2012 my sister told me about blip, I had a little shufty and thought, yes, I fancy having a go at this. I decided to do a year, get the 365 book and then that would be it. The year was soon up and I just couldn't stop, I am totally addicted. In many ways it has taken over my life. One of the best things that has happened is that I have met some lovely people. During my first year I saw there was a blipmeet in Manchester and even though I really wanted to go, I couldn't pluck up the courage...I did regret this afterwards.
Since then I have met up with JanetH, Kathymay, PaulaJ and Chrissie1butter. I am looking forward to meeting others soon too. Today I had one of my 'Friday jaunts' with Kathymay and we had a lovely time. (I know I'm waffling but I've had a little drink and it loosens my tongue and my two typing fingers).
Kath's camera club have an exhibition on at Marple Library so I set up the satnav and headed over to have a wee look. There were some great pics, including the three smiling men taken by Kath. We then decided a bit of lunch was needed to fortify us so we found a great vintage cafe, then we wandered around the canal and took some pics. After our walk we needed a bit of a sugar rush so a piece of cake and a cuppa was next.
The satnav decided to take me home a different way, unbeknown to me...I thought I didn't recognise anywhere and then I found myself on the M60 going the wrong way! Thank goodness it goes in a circle...ha ha ha. Eventually I arrived home and I sat out in the sunshine with my book and a sneaky ice lolly. I heard my neighbour over the fence so I grabbed a bottle of prosseco, that I just happened to have in the fridge, then headed next door. Pelly came with me and we sat in the garden till the bottle was empty...and it has gone to my head a smidgen.
It has been a delightful day.
