Summers day.

Got the new umbrella up, toys out, matts on the floor and spent the day playing outside. Colette and Eliott came round for a little while and then after they both had a long lunch time sleep, we headed of to Marbury.

We had fun trying to keep herbie's hat on, and Eliott was hell bent on going off the way he wanted. Spirited pair! They were so funny, pushing the pram along together and later Herbie was pushing Eliott and he kept stopping, looking at him in the chair, little giggle, then onwards.

Contentment was found at the play area which is set in sand, so they were both happy making a mess in the sand.

On the way back they were chatting away to each other, making each other laugh and copying each other. Colette and I were just so overwhelmed at how cute they were together. Properly connecting, so great to experience. Very special moment.

It has been such a lovely day, watching you grow in confidence, pottering off on your own without the need of mummy's hand. You had several bumps to the head which is hard to watch, but I know it's the only way you know how to grow. I want to wrap you in cotton wool to protect you from the falls, but little one, that's life. And it's your own life. Mummy is just here to support and comfort you when you do.
