Dance Pledge

Well, here we are warming up for the global Dance Pledge in the atrium of the Students Union at Stirling University.


We were going to do it in the Macrobert art centre except there would not have been an audience as the place was empty.

At least we had a captive audience with the students who were having their lunch in the cafeteria.
I think they were bemused by the whole event since no announcement was made to warn them of what was going to happen and suddenly 16 schoolchildren (I am not allowed to show them) and a group of older women along with four members of staff appear and start dancing…. for no apparent reason.


Quite frankly I think Macrobert arts centre missed a good PR opportunity. Here we were taking part in the largest ever-global dance project –over 100,000- and there was not a single announcement, or professional photographer to either announce or record the event!
