Newcomers Meal

"No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins." Luke 5:38

Today's picture is of the table for a meal we had at church which was especially for newcomers. We have been coming to church since September but this is the first one they put on so we got to go. It was a very delicious meal, we had roast beef cooked by the wonderful Jackie!! :-)

This made me look up this verse again about new wine and new wineskins. I know this verse has come up a few times recently in our lives, but I actually can't remember what was said, so these are my fresh thoughts. God is clearly doing something new in our lives and in our church and to do this He needs people to be fresh and new, this doesn't mean that God can't use old people or people who have been around a while, just that they need to be made new in Christ Jesus. This is what we all need on a regular basis...
