make do and mend

taken to the extreme! This is Mum and Dad s fridge , the handle broke a few months ago and instead of getting a new one my Dad decided to "mend" it !!! If you knew him you would know he hash t a practical bone in his body , apart from gardening. Think I may have to order them one myself, Harry Tate springs to mind.
