Little Trees become Big Ones, given a Chance

Another Winter Survivor. I thought this sapling looked a bit like a miniature "acyclinggranny's" famous tree!

This tiny alder did not get eaten by cows last summer and has survived the winter with its roots in the pond, another miracle of nature. Behind it you can see the farm of the Col de la Croix. There won't be anyone or any cows living there for some time, too much snow blocks the road to it.

In the airport now, flying to sunny climes in Southern Turkey again. THANK YOU for the comments, stars and hearts for yesterday's snowy gentians scene.
