Poppy

My first poppy photo of the year.

But it isn't my poppy.
I noticed them in the garden of a neighbour as I drove home from the gym.

Last year, we had some spectacular displays of poppyfields near Lichfield. This year the vivid rapeseed has flowered early and there are no signs yet of poppies (apart from three strays in the verge near the naff restaurant)

My first blip last year of the spectacle was June 15th - so there is still time
