Sistema Scotland

Very lucky and humbled to spend the day watching the results of the Big Noise, Scotland Sistema projects in action in Govanhill and Raploch. Starting with babies and toddlers all the way through to 18 (eventually) this project is in its 5th year in Raploch, transforming the lives of these children living in the most deprived parts of Scotland. See them learn not just how to play in an ensemble, but develop as range of life skills and have a sense of purpose. The day culminated in 2nd year pupil orchestra practice where they were handed a piece of Bach music, new to them, and they just started playing. A project that truly does change lives.
