Lessons learned....
Low tide at Forrester's Beach this evening.......The rock pools were beautiful in the post sunset glow.
I am learning daily with my Blip journey and seascape explorations.
In the last few days a few of the lessons I have learned include......
the incremental relationship of daily sunrise and sunset times
the effect of swell on tide tables
that I never tire of visiting the same spot at different tide cycles
the daily incremental change of moonrise times
that an octopus in a rock pool can keep a 12 year olds interest for hours!
that, in a pinch, a gumboot serves as a temporary fishtank for a puffer fish (that would be the same 12 yr old!!)
that my recent gumboot purchase are worth every penny ( and NO puffer fish are getting in there) !
“The only way that we can live, is if we grow. The only way that we can grow is if we change. The only way that we can change is if we learn. The only way we can learn is if we are exposed. And the only way that we can become exposed is if we throw ourselves out into the open. Do it. Throw yourself.”
