Open Door Meals

Every Monday some group serves open door meals at the Ramona Grange Hall. This Monday it was up to the men from our church. When I got there, we had more support than attendees. The kitchen was fully staffed and then some. I did NOTHING but stand around and talk until clean-up time. I was able to pitch in there.

We do this meal several times a year and during the summer it takes place in the park because the Grange Hall is just too hot. They were expecting a LOT more, but we think the heat kept people away. Seconds and take-home packs were no problem. Even with that, much of the food was taken to another shelter.
