Too Much Sun in The 70's

Two things this looks like.......

The first is when you bite a Texan bar and pull it and the caramel-like chewy stuff forms curvy folds.

The second is the skin of that dead seal that I accidently ran over on the beach in Arran in 1978. Seals in Arran have speckled skin. This one was slightly dry and I thought it was a stone. I am sill traumatised.
