Not forgotten

Today has been another bucket list day - the last post at the Menem Gate in Ypres. The memorial is performed every day and has been since 1928 - details here. The whole ceremony is very moving and performed with great dignity. Of all the shots I took I preferred this one which is about an hour before things start, the crowds are gathering and there was this group of young Belgium soldiers chatting with a veteran. The names of the missing covering the wall behind them, and all over every available surface.

It wasn't planned but it is great that I could post this as my 500th blip in a row - never thought I would get this far. Thanks to everyone on here for all the encouragement and nice comments.
