The fruit of someone's labours

climbing stairs to platform 1 at Enfield Chase noticed this little sign. Someone must have designed and patented the bumpy strip that lines each step edge. Whether they have ever been renewed or replaced is doubtful given the minimal yellow paint on them. However they must experience thousands of feet each day, some running, some walking.
