Cygnets.

So I cycled round Arthur's Seat, and at Dunsapie Loch I noticed that the swan was no longer sitting on her nest. Worried that something had happened I hopped off my bike and found Mum and Dad and six cygnets happily enjoying the sunshine.

I can just imagine the ducks gossiping about the new brood 'Not a patch on last year's. Last year's batch were much cuter.'

I recommend to you a film called 'A Thousand Times Good Night' with Juliet Binoche. A photographer whose talent is capturing the worst of the world in places like Kenya finally realises just how high a price her family is paying for her obsession.

One of the best films I've seen in a long time.
