How I see the world.

Tom had his annual check up with his Paediatrician today and decided to pose him a question.

"If you could see autism what would it look like?"" he asked.

Dr Benjamin then turned it around and asked Tom to draw what he thought it looked like and this was the result.

The rationale behind this (and these are his words) is...

"I think it looks like a crystal atom because atoms are the building blocks of the universe and people with autism have different atoms to everyone else. They are crystal because you can see through them and it's a bit like looking through a bathroom window, you can see things but just not like everyone else."

Needless to say this was greeted with a moment of stunned silence.
