Palermo
Getting up from out grassy beds at 5.30 to catch one of the only 2 buses of the day we headed to Palermo. We were all pretty dirty after 2 nights sleeping outside so we prioritised finding a hostel that would let us check in early and get showered! Then explored the city, I preferred Trapani as it was smaller, but there was lots of interesting graffiti about which made me think of Bristol. We went out to a cute homely restaurant (with handwritten menus) and ate a load of local fish. There was heated discussions about the rubbery-ness of the Calamari and whether food is better in France or Italy, which I found pretty funny. Then Ramon made some friends who took us to a street party, which was pretty awesome and I enjoyed the CoCo Rosie, The Cure and The Beatles playlist.
