Bannisdale Woods
A quick trip into town to sort a few things before next weeks trip back to the Alps. Driving up the A6 I decided it was too nice to do chores and I should have a quick hours walk to myself - maybe find a Blip... and wow - Bannisdale Woods were just magnificent. Due to a lot of replanting activity access was actually quite restricted - and I didn't really want to trample the flowers - so I mostly strolled along the beck admiring the largest expanse of bluebells I think I've ever seen, they extended for a good mile from the beck all the way up the hill as far as I could see, stunning.
