My armchair is leaving us today. After many, many years of excellent service a second spring has broken (we've already repaired one), and it would now cost more to repair and recover than to replace with an identical new chair. The new chair arrives today.

This old chair is being taken off our hands by an upholsterer from the far East - beyond Ampthill, that is. She will use it for training purposes or as a restoration project for herself. So the old chair will thrive and live on!
