A sneaky road trip

Had a meeting in Auckland today so travelled from Tauranga to Auckland via Matamata which is where Hobbiton is located where the movies Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit were filmed.

This is the information centre in the middle if town which represents the set well.

The secret I found out today is a new way to travel to Auckland via Tahuna Road. North Waikato.

You eliminate the 90km zone at Maungatawhiri sh2 and are able to reduce at least 15 minutes off the trip.
