lost in music

my wife and i are both musicians. we thought it strange that for the longest time both our kids expressed ZERO interest in music. then one day something clicked for our daughter and she started playing guitar and piano and singing and writing and recording and doing so every day. not long after something also clicked for our son and he took to drums and rhythmic instruments like fish to water. lately he's been listening to music a lot more than ever before ... i wonder if there's a music DNA that "switches" on at a certain age. i'm no scientist, but we're 2 for 2 in our house :)
