Big sky on the border
Day 19, N.S/N.B: My last day in Moncton, my mom and dad and I head toward Halifax to stay overnight there and then drop me off at the airport the next day. I'm feeling a little melancholy. It also seems like a waste of time packing when I could be spending some quality time with my family but needs must...I'm glad for small things though, like how my mom was able to come with us for the drive because she was feeling up to it, it gives us a little more time together. This photo was taken just over the border on the Nova Scotia side. I spotted this incredible cloud hovering over the yellow landscape and asked my dad if he would stop the car so I could take a photo. This part of the world lies right at the top of the Bay of Fundy, a huge marsh that was at one time cultivated by the first French settlers by building dykes to control the water. Anyhow, it's a pretty effecting landscape and a place that gets some pretty impressive weather systems.
