A ride round the Langdales

Summer came today and Mrs G enjoyed a ride through Great and Little Langdale. Several of the valley bridleways are in the process of being restored with a good gravel surface suitable for multi-uses, including mountain biking of a wifely standard. Of course the hard men are now moaning about the smoothing out of technical sections of track. Tough! This is for the greater good. But whether it will encourage more people to get out of their cars and see The Lakes under their own steam remains to be seen . . .
