New Years Day
As has become the norm, I started the New Year with the Edinburgh New Years Day Triathlon. The temperature had not been above freezing for a couple of weeks now, and this day was no warmer. Even the route had to be changed as the usual route around Arthurs Seat was still frozen. As I left the bike for the run it took about 2 miles for me to be able to feel my feet as they were so cold!
I took this picture in the transition area before the race started. I loved the contrast between warm red berries and the snow and frost at the far end of the car park.
