A little ray of sunshine

Owls in the Clouds

Leeds Civic Hall, Millennium Square

The design was the result of a competition held in 1926. Work began in 1931 and the hall was opened by King George V on 23 August 1933. The building is topped by 2 2.5 metre high gilded owls.

A quick blip on the way to work this morning. A busy day at work but I finish mid afternoon and it was great to have chance to enjoy the sunshine after hours in a windowless department.
