Allium

or Onion. Allium acuminatum, a rather special onion, seen on a flying visit to an old friend. Also known as the tapertip onion or Hooker's onion, it is native to the Western United States and Canada. It has been reported from every state west of the Rocky Mountains, plus British Columbia.

After school/work the girls took themselves off to the City for some fun ... we took Fish & Chips for a walk in the country :-)
