Leopard's Bane
...or "doronicum". I bought this last year as it had such pretty leaves & the flowers were such a cheerful yellow color, but after I had it planted it wasn't getting enough sun & wasn't doing very well, so I moved it. But then Tom was afraid he'd mow it down along with the grass as he said I'd planted it too close to the edge of the grass, so I had to move it again. I think it was traumatized by my moving it twice so close together, & at the end of last summer it wasn't doing very well at all. But this year, it's coming up strong--a few of the flowers have opened already, & the plant is almost double in size, so it must like this spot much better! This is one of the buds, just starting to open. :)
