Pirate Gerda

I must admit, I didn't go for my daily stroll.... even though the weather was good. I spent my lunch break at the library couch with a stack of magazines and I didn't feel like going out after work. So it's a selfie today. Though not actually made by myself. Does that still count as a selfie?

I was early at work, to prepare things for entertaining two subsequent groups of four- and five year olds. Both groups came over for a one hour visit in which I read two stories about a little pirate boy, who lives with his father on his pirate ship. We do a little song and dance about swimming (every pirate has to be able to swim of course) and we go treasure hunting in the library which involves crawling through tunnels (not me, I am not a complete nutcase....). It's ended by the little ones left on their own to browse through some books and we put a bit of grime on their faces (some stubbles on their cheeks and a moustache), for those who want it.

It's tiring those visits and stressful beforehand. But I had two groups of wonderfully sweet and interested kids, so it was actually a joy to do this today.
