Hanging on in there !

I had to be quick with this wasp, I think, on this miniature Azalea flower. Looks good in large view.

I have been out taking shots of flowers, mainly practising focusing so I could focus stack them in Ps. I obviously need a lot more practise!! The shot above is just a single shot without any stacking at all.

I have some good single shots but when I came to stack them, the result was not what I expected!! I must be doing something wrong and yet when I did a focus stack on the landscape course at LPH back in March, it appeared to work well.
Help!
