no longer my best plate
not even functional

I was going to blip an alarm clock but this plate came my way....the reason to blip an alarm clock is because they are driving me mad at the moment. In fact, the whole "waking up" thing in our house drives me mad. Firstly, here in Swissland, they taking "getting up early" to extremes and getting up at 5am is, sadly, quite normal. If that wasn't bad enough...well, it gets worse...because there are people in my family who not only don't like getting up, they really can't without people chasing them (and I am mean can't, if left to their own devices they sleep all day, it's kind of "extreme sleeping"). So as not to embarrass anyone, I will leave the names out but it looks a bit like this:
Person 1 gets up early and leaves the house around 6am without any help (YAY! Fantastic person 1!!)
Person 2 gets woken at 6am and generally falls asleep again, gets in a stress, leaves stuff lying around everywhere, is incapable of clearing his/her stuff from the breakfast table and ALWAYS leaves a big sticky splash of chocolately milk IN MY PLACE AT THE TABLE!!!
Person 3 is more of a surprise, sometimes person 3 is awake and dressed at 6am because s/he got confused about the time. Other days s/he is dead to the world at 6:30, is shouty at the world until 7 and then starts wailing about socks and it's not fair etc etc.
Person 4 randomly wakes up and falls asleep constantly and generally gets dragged out of bed and put in the shower by me before I go to work. S/he likes to let two or three alarm clocks running on snooze so they go off all over the house and I chase around switching them off because they aren't even in the right rooms to wake anyone up.
While person 2 is spreading his/her breakfast all over the place where I want to eat breakfast his/her alarm clock is going off in the bedroom so I have to go and switch that off.
Person 3 has a random alarm that s/he sleeps through and I have to find and switch off - it's never in the same place twice. She/he also tends to leave the radio running all night and then leaves it on really loud (plus lots of lights) when s/he leaves the house.
I am person 5, my alarm wakes me at 6. I only need to leave the house at 8, sometimes even later. In the two hours I have to "get ready" I spend 90% of the time turning off alarms or telling people to turn off their alarm, get up, get dressed, get up, get dressed, get up, get dressed. I then have a tiny amount of time to get myself ready for work and go.
If all the alarm clocks in the world were in the state of this plate, I would be a very happy person.
