Day 8 of AnnieMay and MollyMay's May challenge - Marigold

Some years ago I painted my living room yellow, I wanted a nice bright colour - and got a brighter one than expected. Now, as I am decorating throughout I thought I would tone down the yellow a bit.

I found, what I thought was a much paler shade to replace the yellow that is the yellow of a yellow marigold. Now having used some, I find that despite its colour on the colour chart, it is in fact almost identical to the original yellow - much bolder than it appears here!
