WONDERS OF THE NEPEAN RIVER...
... well you all know how I love our local Nepean River, which I have Blipped many times in this journal.
Today, I was lucky enough to have a friend living in Sydney having a run about boat who had offered to take us up into the Gorge area of the river. As it turned out the weather played it's part although there was a little "mist".
As we ventured up the Nepean Belle paddle boat was taking a luncheon cruise up there also.
Some of the wonderful rock formations on a day like today a delight to see. Also, you just wonder with some of the formations just how long ago these land formations happened!!??
There are many spots along the river you can drive to take a view, this link has a pic looking down to where we travelled below on the river.
Took many shots, but in the end just liked this reflection, which was distorted a little by the boat wake.
All in all, a wonderful experience and thanks to my friend Ed for offering his boat.
Enjoy, and DEFINITELY have a look in LARGE, we ended up doing a 38 kilometre round trip. Would have gone further but they have a boom across where this pic was taken to collect reeds from going further down stream.
... also again thank you for the kind comments and stars and hearts from yesterdays butterfly macro, you are all so very kind.
