Chicken power

My young friends in the band Mobius Loop are finishing their music degrees, and this weekend saw their final degree performances. Last year Alex and Katie became passionate vegans, and Alex's piece 'Conscious Omnivore' featured their pet chicken Sappho. Katie's work 'The Great Bald Body Scam' focused on another issue dear to her heart (or close to her skin, rather). I saw that but missed Alex's and so was unaware of Sappho's presence until I went upstairs to collect instrument cases from the rehearsal room (in my roadie persona) and heard a soft clucking which I traced to this basket. Sappho is a creature of great calmness, probably aided by the knowledge that she will never make nuggets.
