Fibonacci

I need to write a lesson for a numeracy cross curricular theme on Fibonacci.

I've learnt the sequence: 1 1 2 3 5 8 13 21 34 55 etc and know about the spiral (you'll have to google that one other browsers are available) but I didn't know that many natural forms link to the sequence too (eg numbers of petals etc). I'd love to be able to explain it to you I'm not bright enough.

So I'm now going to count carefully to see if the petals on the bunch I bought for mum today are arranged in Fibonacci numbers.

I hadn't mentioned it ... she's been having lots of tests ... they've ruled out cancer hurrah!
