I'd kinda hoped for a fox shot tonight for a couple of reasons. The first is that it's two years to the day that I got my first photo of one of the little fox kits, and knowing that, I've been patiently checking them out daily to see if this year's brood are on the way; and second,y, because today I found out a shot of one of them has been shortlisted in a fairly big national wildlife photo competition. Which pleased me more than a little. At the very least I think it means there's a good chance it'll be in the book they publish every year after the competition. Must remember to email them the hi-res TIFF file tonight....
But anyway, you get a reflective swan, which edges out a peekaboo gosling.
That said, I really wish I'd been somewhere I could have tried to get a lightning photo of the brief storm that passed over Edinburgh today. Desk bound sadly. One day, storm, one day.
