These young rhododendrons are flowering so well I thought they deserved a blip of their own.
They are not to everyone's taste I know, but I love their blousy extravagance. This is their first year of flowering so generously, I think due to the good summer we had last year.

A busy day. Good weather. I took the boy to a young friend's confirmation party this afternoon. I picked up from his Dad the signed passport application I have been nagging him for for weeks. And my own renewed passport finally arrived.
Phew.
